1. Talking is a natural way for learners to process information, share ideas, and contribute to the lesson. This session begins with discussions about engagement and management, then segues to specific ideas for (and practice of) partner talk (like unpacking a mentor text), group talk (in poetry analysis, lit. circles, etc.), whole-class talk (contributing to co-construction and more), conferences (reading, writing, or other), and "silent" sharing.
