Sentence-level instruction is crucial in our writing programs--especially as we work toward genre-level mastery.
In this practical and engaging full-day PL, we will be immersed in hands-on work as we learn about visual sentence patterns, practice the patterns with various stimuli, weave the patterns into multi-standard activities, and then spin out into genre-level implementation.
Various scaffolds for teacher and student success are included in our learning--step-by-step instruction and practice, visual texts, co-construction, and more!
This session would be useful for general ed. teachers, co-teachers, instructional coaches, and more!
